Autoresponder, a Technological Marvel

An autoresponder works like this:
On your website, you offer the visitor a free report, or other free information. The visitor enters his email address and presses a "Submit" button. Within seconds, the autoresponder sends the visitor the free report via email. Your visitor's email address is saved to a database, and becomes part of your client email address list, which you can use for future promotional mailings.

Imagine if 100 people telephoned you asking for a free report, and then you had to copy the report and mail it out to them. It would take your staff a lot of  time to handle the requests. With an autoresponder, those requests can be handled with no intervention on the part of your staff. What a money-saver!

The autoresponder doesn't actually reside on your website, it actually resides on a remote server.  Software is installed on your site that accesses the autoresponder function.There is a small monthly fee for the autoresponder service (about $10.00 per  month, which is billed to your credit card). This is not a Foxpoint Design fee; it is to a separate company that hosts the autoresponder on its' server. 

Considering that an autoresponder can handle thousands of requests in a short period of time, it is a tremendous value. Even if on your site it only handles a fraction of that number, it is a feature well worth the investment.
